2011 Crossover Playoff Game Chelan 51 – Riverside 14 11/5/1114 11/5/11

The Chelan team that had such a disappointing start has shifted into high gear and is, once again, heading for the state playoffs.  Here's Head Coach Darren Talley's short description of their latest game.  Their next test is against Cle Elum at 7:00 p.m. Friday in Cle Elum.

 A perfect sunny afternoon was the setting for the Chelan vs. Riverside (Spokane area) football crossover playoff game.  The seniors for Chelan knew it was their last time to ever play on their home field, which brought out emotions, and great leadership leading to great play by the whole team.  Four years goes by so quickly.  Having the crossover game win and heading to the first round of the state 1A football playoffs, the seniors have again accomplished something that no other Chelan football team can say – “Four years of high school football, and four years of making it into the 1A state playoffs”.  Great job seniors, please continue on for as many games as possible.  You are a pleasure to watch in every facet of the game starting, with your singing of the National Anthem and finishing with your best effort in every game.
